A Word from the Pastor:

Welcome to the Cornerstone United Methodist Church website.  It is my great joy and pleasure to serve you in this way. My name is Kong Namkung and I am privileged to serve the body of Christ as the Pastor of the congregation.  I hope you'll take some time to explore the site, and then some more time to come join us in community. We'd love to have you join us in Sunday School and in our worship service, or just to drop by for a cup of coffee some day.

Before you click on to something else, though, I'd like to tell you a little about our Church.  Cornerstone is young and growing church with dynamic worship where you find a place to belong and friends in Christ with whom to fellowship and share life's concerns. It is the purpose and the intention of the ministry of Cornerstone to have every member involved in some form of meaningful ministry. Cornerstone UMC is a growing, dynamic, and open Christian community. We are a diverse Church, striving to be faithful in ministry and working to create a safe haven for all who come through our doors. Everyone is welcome at Cornerstone UMC.

We 're an active Church, seeking to do many things together. From expanding our youth and ministry to celebrating worship in warmth and power; from creating educational and service opportunities to speaking out for justice; whatever we do, we work hard to do all in joyful remembrance of what God has done for us.

Simply put, this is a place where people laugh and move forward in compassion and caring. We understand our ministry together, not as a burdensome obligation, but as a wonderful gift that we unwrap together - not unlike children around the tree on Christmas morning.
